When you are running any company in the digital age, you will need a website designed and tailored to your needs that come with web hosting support as an extra. Most sites need some non-standard features such as e-commerce stores, accepting digital payments and credit cards. You may also be collecting information from your clients or generating leads through to your website that talks to other systems within your enterprise. Or you are tech-savvy enough to run your website, and you pay web hosting costs, but when something goes wrong, you’re stuck. Most web hosts won’t go above and beyond to fix your website problems if it’s user or code error and not a hosting related server issue. This can be very frustrating and cost you hours of trying to figure out why your WordPress site is no longer loading and is costing you even more time to find someone and explain what the issue is and get a quote on the fix. It can get messy, which is why we offer web hosting support as a standalone service we can offer.

Our aim is regardless of who you host with we will carry out website maintenance and depending on your unique needs we can offer to do additional SEO on your website to improve your search engine rankings overall. As your business grows, your website will need to be scaled and optimised for performance, which is a technical SEO ranking factor. You will also need to ensure your SSL certificates are valid and your website is secure. WebJex can take all the headaches away from you when it comes to optimising and managing your website for your business.

Google has recently announced that internet sites without SSL accreditation will be flagged as not protected with a Google SSL Warning. Which means that whenever prospective clients visit an internet website without the HTTPS from the address bar, they’ll see their internet site isn’t protected.

Why fix the Google SSL Warning

Sites with HTTPS demonstrate to users that they’re protected so that visitors can rest assured that any very very sensitive info traded will be kept safe. A website that doesn’t have SSL enabled would be considered to be less secure, less trustworthy and less reputable which means you may miss out on sales or leads based on that factor alone.

The majority haven’t made the change yet to avoid the Google SSL Warning

The HTTPS switch hasn’t been at the cutting edge of an online business owner’s thoughts. Even after 4 decades, the most of the millions of internet sites that grace the world wide web still don’t utilize the safety layer which prompts the Google SSL Warning to website visitors.

Towards the end of 2017 Google reported that two-thirds of the net was ‘dangerous ’. Nevertheless, come July this year, the most well-known web-browser in Australia, Google Chrome, will notify searchers if a website conveys HTTPS certifications or simply possesses the standard HTTP prefix. If a website has the HTTP prefix Google will let browsers know that the website is ‘not protected ’.

What’s SSL?

An SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Certificate is comprised of data files that take a cryptographic secret to bind details. When an SSL Certificate is installed on a web server, it can make it more demanding for hackers to intercept information provided by the user, like health information, credit card info, and logins.

It’s now the typical security stage. When an internet website has this accreditation, it is shown by the URL handler, changing its kind from HTTP:// to HTTPS://.

Why you need SSL certification

All businesses desire SSL Certification. Not only does this make your information more secure, it enriches your rankings and eventually builds trust with your audience. No matter if you sell products or services on your website, or just use the internet for lead generation – SSL is vital.

Security builds trust, and main search engines won’t promote your website to page one if individuals can’t trust your website with their data.

Advantages of SSL

Increased ranking

Google will continue to favor websites with HTTPS throughout their ranking. This implies they’re more prone to present your website to people looking for your product and service, as compared to websites without the HTTP. Even though there are lots of other elements that play into ranking factors, it is now arguably one of the more key elements Google bases their rankings on.

Greater credibility

Enhancing your ranking is great, but what’s even better is the trust you build with your clients. For clients, acquiring an SSL certificate suggests that any info transferred through your website is safe from interception. It states that you’re serious about your business.

How to become compliant

You can avoid the Google SSL warning by purchasing an SSL certificate from WebJex or another registrar that offers SSL Certificates.

Second of all, there’s the shared hosting option. This option is regarded as the most used option for many webmasters out there because it’s extremely affordable. In this kind of situation, you’ll share the server with numerous another website. Many small to medium company owners uses shared hosting as they don’t require the resources of the entire server that is too much. Without having to pay for the entire server, they can still get features which are made ready to use by providers with large bandwidth and disk storage amount. Depending upon the kind of package that you choose, you may also get multiple e-mail addresses, PHP, MySQL and support.

Nevertheless, the problem with shared hosting will be its vulnerability to security risk because you’re sharing the server with numerous websites and you do not usually know who they’re and what they’re up to. If one website is attacked by virus, all the websites in that server would be affected as well. Then there’s the unmanaged hosting. Users of this kind of hosting will become the administrator of their very own server in a dedicated hosting service condition. This could be the choice for all those that need more bandwidth, storage and features that free and shared hosting don’t have.

With a dedicated hosting, users may have as many databases and e-mail address as they like. It generally comes along with 500GB to 1000 GB of bandwidth capacity per month plus a generous amount of disk space. Nevertheless, the problem lies on whether you know how to run your very own server or not. If you don’t know how, you’ll have to hire someone else to do the administrative task for you.

Australian Dedicated servers are really able to offer you the most reliable and secure web hosting services around, but in order for a dedicated server to be effective in any case you need to manage it properly
and this is where you have to choose between a managed dedicated server and an unmanaged dedicated server. Managed dedicated server hosting services are the go-to recommended
option for people who have never run or managed a VPS server instance or have managed a dedicated server before, or may not generally have the time to dedicated to managing their dedicated server properly; being able to make use of full support from a support team will also allow them to make the most of their dedicated server. If you have managed a VPS server or dedicated server before that uses the same operating system as your dedicated server then you may find managing your dedicated server a doddle, meaning that an unmanaged dedicated server would be the best option for you to go by.

How cost effective is Managed vs Unmanaged Dedicated Server Hosting?

Managed dedicated server can also be very cost effective in all situations. As this may mean a larger overhead than unmanaged servers it means you can get optional additional support. For example, you can have them secure your dedicated server to a high level – if you have them do it then you can be sure that it has been done to a high standard. Managed dedicated server hosting can be highly effective as it means that you won’t have to worry about the management aspect of your dedicated server, when in most cases you have more important things to be worrying about and getting on with that aren’t related to your dedicated server; in most cases the support team employed by your web hosting provider are also on
call to answer your queries 24×7, meaning that even if there is a problem it will be dealt with swiftly. Managed dedicated server hosting may not always have a higher uptime rate than an unmanaged dedicated server of a similar specification, but a benefit of managed dedicated server hosting services is they can help when it comes to technical problems with your server and are quick to pinpoint issues with your server; you can have your web hosting provider’s support team optimize your dedicated server for you to make it as reliable as possible which may be subject to an additional charge.

How reliable is Managed vs Unmanaged Dedicated Server Hosting?

Unmanaged dedicated server hosting is only beneficial if you know that you have the skills to manage your dedicated server properly and are able to apply those skills to ensure that your dedicated server is both reliable and secure. Unmanaged dedicated server hosting can be very cost effective in situations where you may want to really customize your entire hosting environment; you may, for example, wish to have a specific Linux distribution installed on your dedicated server, and in such a situation you may find that managed dedicated server hosting services aren’t suitable for your requirements because your web hosting provider may not be willing to support the distribution concerned.

Lastly, managed dedicated server hosting services and unmanaged dedicated server hosting services are effective in the right situations, it’s just up to you as the consumer to make sure that you choose the right dedicated server hosting service for your requirements.

When selecting and ordering a dedicated server you should always read the terms and conditions twice, even if you are going to get an unmanaged dedicated server or managed a dedicated server.

Using a US Netflix VPN can be pretty daunting to setup especially since using a US VPN would usually require an Administrator to setup and configure it on your network.

WebJex sells VPN’s which you can use to access the US NetFlix with ease using our easy to use downloadable client. We make it easy for you to connect so that you can spend more time watching your US Netflix content.

If you need help, you can always ticket our customer service support and get assistance from one of our trained reps who can either guide you through the process over the phone or use TeamViewer to debug any problems you may be having.

A US Netflix VPN is becoming more difficult to find these days due to Netflix cracking down on VPN usage across the world. For this reason we try to stay ahead of the game by updating our VPN technology to get around the advance GEO location tracking that they use.

If you are looking for your own private VPN you may want to consider buying a VPS from us as the benefits and your own security of your own software choice, however less tech savvy users who are not comfortable with SSH/FTP and following technical instructions may be better off with a US Netflix VPN from WebJex.

If you would like to try our VPN service feel free to contact customer service support. We can give you access to a demo account so that you can try it out and make sure it works for you before you buy.
